چکیده

Abstract Background Herpes zoster (HZ) infection of hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) patients is clinical concern. Vaccination could help restore immunity to varicella virus (VZV); however, temporal changes in immunogenicity and safety live HZ vaccines after HSCT still unclear. The aim this study was elucidate the vaccine according time since determine optimal timing vaccination. Methods Live administered 2–5 years or > 5 post-HSCT. Control groups comprised with a hematologic malignancy who received cytotoxic chemotherapy healthy volunteers. Humoral cellular were measured using glycoprotein enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (gpELISA) an interferon-γ (IFN-γ) immunospot (ELISPOT) assay. Vaccine-related adverse events also monitored. Results Fifty-six (41 group 15 group) along 30 volunteers enrolled. geometric mean fold rises (GMFRs) humoral immune responses year groups, volunteer group, comparable significantly higher than that (3.15, 95% CI [1.96–5.07] vs 5.05, [2.50–10.20] 2.97, [2.30–3.83] 1.42, [1.08–1.86]). GMFR highest lowest group. No subject suffered clinically significant reactivation VZV within follow-up period. Conclusion Our findings demonstrate immunogenic safe when 2

A 16 Month Survey of Cyclosporine Utilization Evaluation in Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Recipients

Objectives: Graft versus host disease (GVHD) is a life threatening reaction in the stem cell transplantation process. Nowadays Cyclosporine is the most commonly utilized agent for GVHD prophylaxis and it has a major role in successful transplantation. Cyclosporine has been applied for many years in this field but it could be stated that currently no general consensus is available for its optima...

Live attenuated varicella-zoster vaccine in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation recipients.

Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients are at risk for varicella-zoster virus (VZV) reactivation. Vaccination may help restore VZV immunity; however, the available live attenuated VZV vaccine (Zostavax) is contraindicated in immunocompromised hosts. We report our experience with using a single dose of VZV vaccine in 110 adult autologous and allogeneic HSCT recipients who were...

Immunogenicity and Safety of the HZ/su Adjuvanted Herpes Zoster Subunit Vaccine in Adults Previously Vaccinated With a Live Attenuated Herpes Zoster Vaccine

Background Protection against herpes zoster (HZ) induced by the live attenuated zoster vaccine Zostavax (ZVL) wanes within 3-7 years. Revaccination may renew protection. We assessed whether (re)vaccination with the adjuvanted HZ subunit vaccine candidate (HZ/su) induced comparable immune responses in previous ZVL recipients and ZVL-naive individuals (HZ-NonVac). Methods In an open-label, mult...
